Tequila Poker – A Challenge For Poker And Blackjack

If it’s a challenging game that you are looking for then tequila poker is the game for you. Not only do you need to decide whether or not you want to increase your bet but you also need to decide which of two games give you the best odds.

Each round of tequila poker includes two games; high tequila and tequila poker. In high tequila you try and make the highest point total and in tequila poker you try to make the best five-card hand out of a total of six cards.

A round of tequila poker begins with each player putting down an ante bet. Then each player is dealt four cards face up. Players must now choose if they want to place a high tequila bet or a tequila poker bet. Each player then receives another two cards and then winning hands are reviewed.

If you choose to play high tequila then cards points are counted using card face values with picture cards worth ten and aces worth 11. Your lowest card is discarded and the rest of your five cards are added up. If your total is less than 46, you lose. If your total is more than 46 your ante bet pays even money and your main bet pays according to a ranking as follows:
46 – 48 pays 1 to 1
49 pays 2 to 1,
50 pays 3 to 1
51 pays 4 to 1
However it is the scores over 51 that really bring in the money:
52 pays 7 to 1,
53 pays 15 to 1
54 (the maximum possible) pays 200 to 1

If you choose to play tequila poker after your initial four cards you should be aiming to make a final hand that holds a pair of aces or better.
If you do make a winning hand your ante bet pays even money and your main bet pays as follows:
Pair of Aces pays 1 to 1
Two pair pays 2 to 1
Three of a kind pays 3 to 1
A straight pays 5 to 1
A flush pays 7 to 1
A full house pays 8 to 1
Four of a kind pays 15 to 1
A straight flush pays 50 to 1
A Royal Flush pays 200 to 1
